At Dental Wellness, we are committed to providing our patients with the most up-to-date techniques in the field of dentistry. We’re proud to offer the latest technology that assists us in providing innovative, modern dental care. With these devices and our professional expertise, we deliver precise diagnostics, promote patient co-diagnosis, and perform minimally invasive procedures.
CEREC – Smile in a day!
A tooth‑colored restoration means no more silver fillings discoloring smiles. The filling is natural‑looking, compatible with tissue in the mouth and anti‑abrasive. We no longer need to create temporaries or take impressions and send them to a lab. Because of this, the traditional second visit has been eliminated.
Digital Radiography allows us to see clear pictures of the condition of your mouth. Along with producing images almost instantly, digital X-rays require up to 80% less radiation than traditional X-rays.
Intraoral Cameras are small enough to fit inside your mouth, allowing us to project the magnified images for you on a monitor. Seeing first-hand what’s going on in your mouth is important to making informed treatment decisions.
The Wand is a computerized local anesthesia delivery unit. Since patient comfort is one of our primary concerns, we are proud to have integrated this pen-like hand-piece that administers anesthesia quickly and comfortably.
Dental Lasers have transformed medical surgery by offering minimally-invasive alternatives to traditional scalpel incisions and sutured closures. Lasers can cure (harden) dental materials, scan teeth to detect decay, vaporize decay and prep teeth for fillings to brighten smiles.
The best dental care for miles. I even cross the bridge from Philadelphia to come to Dental Wellness of Riverton. My smile is so much better after getting cosmetic work done with Dr Sweeney. I highly recommend them. Every staff member is competent , confident and friendly. They send text reminders, so I never forget my appointments. They offer so much more than just cleanings and fillings. Give them a try, you will be glad you did.
The people are so friendly and professional - I no longer dread going to the dentist! Crowns are completed same-day. Cleanings are gentle and thorough. They use the most modern technology to give you a beautiful and healthy smile!
Riverton dental is a great place to go. They are very up to date on technology. X-rays are instant and crowns take about an hour or two. Not days or temp crowns then coming back. Jen is the best and the main reason I keep coming back.
Dental Wellness is the first practice I feel truly comfortable at. Drs. Sweeney and Cohen are comforting and truly put you at ease. The hygienists, assistants and receptionists are very friendly and helpful. As someone who has feared the dentist because of issues for most of my life, I don’t fear coming here. You won’t be sorry you came here for your dental care.
We respect your time, and that’s why we have invested in revolutionary CEREC single-visit dental crowns technology. In just one appointment, our dentists can create durable, natural-looking, all-porcelain dental crowns. Often a tooth crown is the only treatment that can salvage a severely damaged or decayed tooth, and we want you to rest assured we’ll take care of it quickly.
CEREC Tooth Crown Technology
The CEREC Acquisition Unit is mobile and houses a medical grade computer and the CEREC camera. We use the camera to take a digital picture of your prepared tooth. This picture is used instead of a traditional impression. This means no impression tray and material for you to gag on. The computer and CEREC 3D software converts the digital picture to a three dimensional virtual model of your prepped tooth. We then design your restoration right on screen using the software while you wait (and watch!). This software designs a single tooth restoration: crowns, inlays (fillings), onlays (partial crowns), and veneers. Once we have designed your restoration (usually about 5 minutes), we clicks a button, and the design data is communicated via a wireless radio signal to the CEREC Milling Unit.
CEREC Milling Unit
We select a ceramic block that matches the shade of the tooth being repaired. We insert the block into the Milling Unit. The data from the Acquisition Unit is used to direct two diamond-coated burs to carve the block into the indicated shape of the restoration. This process usually takes 8 to 18 minutes. After the milling is finished, we polish the finished filling or crown.
Finally, we permanently place your brand new, custom-milled porcelain tooth crown and you’ll go home with a complete, healthy smile and no need for a second visit. Voila.
