Restorations & Replacement Teeth - The Dental Wellness

Restorations & Replacement Teeth

Restoritive-If you’ve lost teeth due to accident, injury, or gum disease, we offer several solutions to restore your solid smile. A tooth-replacement will not only fill the gap, but it will also prevents repositioning of remaining teeth, correct a misaligned bite, improve chewing function and speech articulation, and provide internal structure for the face to give you a more youthful appearance.

Options to replace missing teeth include:

Fixed Bridges

A fixed bridge is joined to the teeth neighboring the missing tooth, these are called abutments.  The space is filled with an attached false tooth called the Pontic.  Bridges can vary in size depending on the amount of teeth needing to be replaced. The style of bridge we suggest will depend upon the strength and health of the abutment teeth, as well as the location of the gap in relation to the rest of your dentition.

Dental Implants

Dental implants are small titanium posts anchored into the jawbone. Implants can replace a single missing tooth, and they can also anchor bridges, partials, or full dentures. In a brief surgery, an implant dentist can secure a few dental implant posts to hold your prosthetic in place. With implant-supported dentures and partials, you won’t have to worry about slippage, and your prosthetic will feel safe and sound.

Dentures

A partial denture, commonly referred to as simply a partial, consists of multiple teeth on a gum colored base. The teeth are not in a row, but rather spread across the base to fit like a puzzle with your existing teeth. A partial is normally secured with clips or brackets, but unlike a bridge, a partial is removable.

Full Dentures

A full denture is a complete top or bottom row of teeth mounted on a gum-colored base. Dentures can be closed or open palate, and they may require denture adhesive to hold them in place.

The best dental care for miles. I even cross the bridge from Philadelphia to come to Dental Wellness of Riverton. My smile is so much better after getting cosmetic work done with Dr Sweeney. I highly recommend them. Every staff member is competent , confident and friendly. They send text reminders, so I never forget my appointments. They offer so much more than just cleanings and fillings. Give them a try, you will be glad you did.

Riverton dental is a great place to go. They are very up to date on technology. X-rays are instant and crowns take about an hour or two. Not days or temp crowns then coming back. Jen is the best and the main reason I keep coming back.

Dental Wellness is the first practice I feel truly comfortable at. Drs. Sweeney and Cohen are comforting and truly put you at ease. The hygienists, assistants and receptionists are very friendly and helpful. As someone who has feared the dentist because of issues for most of my life, I don’t fear coming here. You won’t be sorry you came here for your dental care.
